Those who can’t afford digital technology or who don’t have the skills and knowledge to effectively use it are increasingly facing real disadvantage. In this report Anglicare Tasmania surveyed 750 Tasmanians on low incomes who had access to a mobile phone. Survey findings demonstrate considerable scope for increasing the effective use of digital and assistive technologies among Tasmanians on low incomes and ensuring that users have the digital literacy and skills to fully benefit from being digitally engaged.
