Submission in response ‘Demographic Change in Tasmania – challenges and opportunities’

In general Anglicare considers that the ageing of the population presents a number of exciting opportunities for Tasmania and would like to emphasise the positive aspects of ageing. However Anglicare would also like to express concerns about the differential impact of ageing on low income and disadvantaged households.  This submission comments on the implications for particularly vulnerable low income households – those who are long term unemployed or living with disabilities and mental health problems – and their access to housing, employment and community care services.
