Submission to the 10-year review of Tasmania Together

This submission focuses on those parts of Tasmania Together relevant to Anglicare’s advocacy priorities. Anglicare recommends that Tasmania Together develop specific indicators on the level of homelessness; the quality of Tasmania’s housing stock; consumer engagement in health and human services; and the impact of problem gambling. It further recommends that the Progress Board consider the emerging issues of stigmatisation of disadvantaged people; the need to retain government accountability for social policy even when services are largely delivered by non-government agencies; and the need for supportive responses to people with complex needs.
