Submission to the review of the Family Violence Act 2004

This submission recommends broadening the definition of ‘family relationship’ and ‘family violence’ to ensure violence perpetrated between family members who are not in a spousal relationship is included; discusses amending Police Family Violence Orders to make them easy for people to use and understand; reports accommodation issues regarding the housing of perpetrators and of victims; and opposes the introduction of mandatory reporting for offences involving adults.
