The Right to Belong
Exploring the experience of housing security and insecurity for older Tasmanians

Anglicare Tasmania’s Social Action and Research Centre (SARC) is conducting research to learn more about how housing security – or insecurity – affects older people.  We want to understand older Tasmanians’ housing experiences, their sense of choice and control over where and how they live, and how these things affect their wellbeing.

We will share what we learn with you, our community and with governments and housing services.  It will support us to advocate for housing and housing policy that:

  • better meets the needs of older people, including planning for lifelong housing
  • reduces harms caused by insecure or inappropriate housing.
