The day-to-day job of a support worker is built around the needs of the person you are supporting. It is full of variety and can include helping them to carry out daily tasks such as:
- personal care (showering, grooming and dressing)
- medication administration
- meal preparation
- manual handling
- transport
- purchases
- record keeping and reporting.
It can also include supporting a person to stay connected with their friends, family and the community, learn new skills or pursue their personal interests and hobbies.
