Anglicare shines at AHI Awards
Anglicare’s contributions to social housing for youth have been recognised at the 2019 AHI Awards.
Trinity Hill, Hobart – which provides supported accommodation for youth – has won three categories at the 2019 AHI Professional Excellence in Housing Awards in Tasmania.
The Trinity Hill team won the “Excellence in Social Housing” award for their work in providing affordable long-term housing for young people aged 16-24 and support to access education, training and employment. Another Anglicare-managed facility, Eveline House in Devonport, was Highly Commended in the same category.
Trinity Hill team member Rebekka Gale received the “Inspirational team member” award. Rebekka’s dedication to the tenants at Trinity Hill and the Anglicare team has been outstanding.
Galia Bastoni, who lives at Trinity Hill, received the “Tenant led initiative” award for her successful Welcome Dinner.
Along with all other State winners from around the country, our AHI Award winners are now in the running for the Australasian Awards to be announced late August at the Australasian Awards Gala Dinner in Darwin.
