Hearing the voices of Tasmanian families involved with the Child Safety system

Both in Tasmania and across Australia there is an increasing interest in developing more family-inclusive policies and procedures and more support and advocacy for parents in contact with child safety services in order to improve outcomes for children. This paper outlines the case for developing an effective individual and systemic advocacy service for Tasmanian parents and families involved with Child Safety Services.
