Anglicare Tasmania provides the Housing Connect service across Tasmania. Housing Connect is Tasmania’s entry point for housing assistance.

The Housing Connect team works at the cold face of the housing crisis in Tasmania. They provide assistance and support to people experiencing housing stress.  For more information on the Housing Connect Service, view our Housing Connect Service page.

Current Vacancies at Housing Connect

We have the following positions available to work with the Housing Connect team in Tasmania.

We require multiple Senior Connection Coaches and Connection Coaches.  The Senior Connection Coach positions have the option to be based in our Hobart, Launceston, Devonport or Burnie offices.

Connection Coach - Hobart

Use your communication skills, experience and resilience to support people experiencing housing stress to access services, write applications and develop goals.

The Connection Coach directly supports people who are experiencing housing stress. They use their exceptional communication skills, resilience and experience to work with people in crisis. This may include writing applications, seeking support and resources, and working with people on their goals. They use the Advantaged Thinking Framework and tailor their response based on the person’s individual circumstances.

What we offer you:

  • $88,465 to $92,713 plus super + salary sacrifice

Senior Connection Coach - Hobart, Launceston, Devonport Or Burnie

Are you an experienced leader with the resilience to support a team working at the cold face of the housing crisis?

The Senior Connection Coach provides support, leadership and mentoring to a team of Connection Coaches working at the cold face of the housing crisis. The role requires exceptional communication skills, resilience and experience with working with people in crisis.  This enables the effective mentoring and support of staff and direct management of the more complex cases of people requiring assistance.

What we offer you:

  • an attractive salary of $98,602 to $103,087

Applications Management Officer - Hobart

The Applications Management Officer performs essential administrative functions at Housing Connect Front Doors.

They:

  • hold knowledge and expertise of Housing Connect services and housing products, including social housing and supported accommodation, Private Rental Assistance and Private Rental head-leased programs (Rapid Rehousing and Private Rental Incentives).
  • manage enquiries and work flows from the Housing Connect Portal and Front Door.
  • provide information and assistance to people enquiring about their current or future housing-related applications, and
  • provide support and information to people completing their applications via the Housing Connect Portal.

What we offer you:

  • an attractive salary of $76,866 to $80,146
    not-for-profit salary packaging available that can increase your take home pay

All successful applicants will be required to:

  • provide a current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (employment/volunteer category) including NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • present an unsupervised contact with children or vulnerable people type National Police Check (no older than 12 months);
  • provide an International Police Check if you have resided for 12 months or more outside of Australia after the age of 16;
  • provide a satisfactory Anglicare assessed medical:
  • provide a current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence.
